Agnieszka Radwanska (Agnieszka Roma Radwanska) was born on March 6 1989, and she is Polish professional tennis player. She is one of the most promising players on WTA Tour. She has two titles and she already defeated some of the world class players in women tennis such as Martina Hingis, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Venus Williams. But probably her most recognizable win is against beautiful Russian, Maria Sharapova at US Open in 2007. As a junior player she won Wimbledon (2005) and Roland Garros (2006). Agnieszka also play doubles, usually with her younger sister Ursula Radwanska.
News : _______________________________________ Radwanska was able just to reach 3rd round in Germany where she lost from Serena Williams. Radwanska moved down one place on WTA ranking list and now she is 16th with 1508 points. Next tournament is in Rome , where Agnieszka has an easier draw. She is supposed to go through easily in first two rounds but in the third round her opponent will most likely be Serena Williams from the United States. Agnieska will also play doubles with Maria Kirilenko .They will play in the first round against Ekaterina Dzehalevich and Olga Govortsova. Radwanska did not have enough strength to pull third win against fine Swiss. Following eight players who secured place in quarter finals of Family Circle Cup :Jankovic , Zvonareva , Dementieva, Schnyder, Szavay , Cornet , Williams and Sharapova _______________________________________ Agnieszka Radwanska is eleventh seed at Family Circle Cup in Charleston USA. Unfortunately Radwanska was unable overcame Amelie Mauresmo and get into quarter-finals of Bausch & Lomb Championships. Agnieszka lost in an exciting match 3-6 7-5 7-6 . She did not have luck with the doubles either so Agnieszka will pack and move to Charleston USA where she plays her next Tier I tournament. _______________________________________ In Bausch & Lomb Championships Radwanska is seventh seed and she is free in the first round. In the second round she will play against Gisela Dulko or Edina Gallovits. In the third round she might face eleventh seed Amelie Mauresmo . In the doubles Agnieszka Radwanska and her partner Janette Husarova will play in the first round against Victoria Azarenka and Elena Vesnina. On Family Circle Cup draw has not been decided yet but Agnieszka will be in company with some top players such as Justine Henin, Jelena Jankovic , Maria Sharapova , sisters Williams ,etc Radwanska will also play in Bausch & Lomb Championships ( Tier II) that starts April 7th. Agnieszka Radwanska is on the 8th place with solid amount of 349,580 dollars. _______________________________________ Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova defeated Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland 6-2, 6-4 . Radwanska will be out of Pacific Life Open semifinal where two Russians and two Serbs will meet. ( Sharapova v Kuznetsova and Jankovic v Ivanovic ) . Still, Radwanska earned some important points in WTA race.
