Fell in Tour qualifying at Warsaw; on ITF Circuit, won one singles and two doubles titles (both w/U.Radwanska).

2006

Impressive first season playing on Tour, reaching QF in main draw debut at Warsaw (as WC in first match against a Top 100 player, stunned world No.12 Myskina for first Top 20 win en route; l. to Dementieva in 3s); second breakthrough of year came at Wimbledon, reaching 4r in career Grand Slam main draw debut (was fifth WC ever to go that far, and first Polish player to go that far as well; l. to Clijsters); best finish of season came at Tier II Luxembourg, reaching first Tour singles SF (as qualifier, saved 4mp during 57 76(8) 63 1r win over Santangelo, then d. V.Williams in 2r and top seed Dementieva 75 62 in QF before losing to Schiavone in 3s; win over No.6 Dementieva was first Top 10 win); 2r three times in five other Tour main draws, at US Open (as qualifier, l. to Golovin), Linz (d. 2007

Another breakthrough season, highlighted by first Tour singles title at Stockholm and three more Top 10 wins; won title at Stockholm (as No.2 seed, d. No.8 seed Dushevina in final; lost just 20 games en route to title, tied w/Hingis at Tokyo [Pan Pacific] for least games lost en route to a Tour singles title this season; also first Tour singles title for Poland); QF three times, at Istanbul (as No.7 seed, l. to top seed Sharapova in 3s), Palermo (as No.3 seed, l. to No.8 seed and eventual champion Szavay) and Zürich (as LL, d. No.7 seed Hantuchova en route to first career Tier I QF; l. to top seed and eventual champion Henin); reached 4r twice, at Miami (d. No.27 seed Zheng and No.5 seed Hingis en route, falling to No.24 seed Garbin) and US Open (as No.30 seed, d. No.2 seed and defending champion Sharapova en route, falling to No.18 seed Peer); wins over world No.6 Hingis (Miami), No.2 Sharapova (US Open) and No.9 Hantuchova (Zürich) were second, third and fourth career Top 10 wins; reached 3r once, at Wimbledon (l. to Kuznetsova); 2r eight times, incl.
